History and Nature: The village of Boca Grande and our historic cottage colony are surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico, Charlotte Harbor and serene waterways. Early residents and guests traveled to Boca Grande by rail car along scenic Charlotte harbor south to the historic Boca Grande Lighthouse. This route has been maintained and now functions as a wonderful pedestrian experience. Here you can travel the length of our Island by foot, bicycle or golf cart while enjoying our excellent climate and native wildlife. If you require exercise runners will enjoy a custom track adjacent to the main path.
Other local attractions include water tours and Kayaking adventures where you can enjoy some of the countries best bird sanctuaries and pristine native wildlife.
